The Forum attracts over 1000 people to Altötting every year. To ensure that they can all experience a great program and are also well looked after, there is a time before the Forum when volunteers lend a hand – in practical and/or creative ways.

Many different jobs are done in the process:

    • Construction of large tents for the food service and the children’s program
    • Construction of beer sets for the catering area
    • Preparation of the chapel square
    • Transport of various things from the Josefsburg to the locations
    • Construction of the bridge at the Josefsburg for the access to the food tents
    • Various works in the Josefsburg for the Forum (before: providing and arranging material; after: sorting and putting everything away again)
    • Tasks in the garden and outside area of the Josefsburg

In addition, you can expect during the volunteer days:

    • Common praise, holy mass and times of adoration in the Josefsburg
    • International flair
    • Getting to know many new people
    • Worship, Holy Mass and times of adoration in the Josefsburg
    • Short talks and companionships
    • International flair
    • Getting to know lots of new young people
    • free time program and regional excursions
    • and a lot of fun!

These requirements are necessary::

    • Age 18-30 years

    • Openness for various preparatory tasks around the construction and dismantling of the forum

    • Time to come to Altötting for 3 weeks

And good to know:

  • You will receive a cheaper participation ticket for the forum.
  • Accommodation and meals will be provided during the volunteer days.
